In 2018, Torrent Pharmaceuticals recalled tablets containing valsartan[1][2] and losartan[3] due to the detection of N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) and N-nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA) respectively which are probable human carcinogens.
